INFANT-FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH

I provide parent education and supportive consultations on development, interactive play and effective parenting from pregnancy through adolescence. Therapy for parents with their infants and children is offered to support the child’s wellbeing and earliest relationships in the face of loss, transition, separation, trauma, illness, injury, delay, disability, prenatal/postpartum depression, etc.

I am a certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Clinician, level II. This leading therapeutic model integrates the mind and body to treat complex trauma (e.g., multiple/ interpersonal traumas) or single incident trauma (e.g., a life-threatening accident). Trauma processing is always done from a place of calm strength.

From roundtable discussions at the Aspen Institute Forum on Women and Girls to my technical advisory positions at UNICEF and UN Women, I have advocated for the rights and advancement of women and girls. I partner with RESPONSE, in Aspen, to treat women survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. I support girls and women to find their way through the gender-based power dynamics in relationships, institutions and society, to their voices, to their true selves, to their best lives.
